Moatsü—the premier festival of the Aos –was also celebrated at Lirmen village on May 2 with EE Irrigation & Flood Control, Er. Lanu Longchar, as chief guest.
The highlights of the celebration included traditional song sung by Lirmen Watsu Telen and Lirmen Pati, Olangoin, traditional dances performed by the Nokpu Village Council, Yajang C Village Council, Akumen Village Arju and Lirmen Students Conference and special numbers by Sashi and Asen and Takumtsu Ayong. Tug of war & bamboo climbing was also part of the celebration
The program was hosted by Watila Lkr, invocation by Rev. A Mar Pastor LBC, welcome speech by VCM chairman, Lirmen T. Kirem, short speech on the significance of Moatsü was delivered by cartographist, Temjenlemba and P.Meren Longkumer exhorted the gathering.
