Joint secretary of MWACD, K. Moses Chalai who is on an official visit to Nagaland has been visiting various service centres established for Women & Children on May 9.
A press note from SRCW, department of Social Welfare stated that a review meeting was convened with the officials of the Social Welfare department chaired by secretary Dellirose M. Sakhrie.
It stated that schemes and programmes such as ICDS; State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), Mission Porna Shakti and VCFS; One Stop Centre and Women Helpline; Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and State Child Protection Society were deliberated in detail.
The members of review meeting also held a meeting with chief secretary, Pankaj Kumar.
Earlier, the joint secretary inspected the Kohima Orphange Home and the Anganwadi Centre at D-Block, Kohima.
He also visited the recently established Sakhi-One Stop Centre, Kohima. The official trip concluded with his visit to the Women Helpline (181), which provides 24 x 7 services to women affected by violence.
