An indigenous modern gospel song in Konyak dialect titled ‘Minyong Phanang’ by Samuel Konyak was released on Thursday by Rev. Chemyuh Konyak, executive secretary, Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm (KBBB) at KBBB Office, mission centre Mon.
This is the first album of Samuel Konyak, known by many in the district not only as the lead singer of ‘Toxic Peace’ band, a popular band, based in Mon but also for his valuable and humble services towards the society.
Samuel dedicated the album to his late father P Hamnyei Konyak.
The album comes as an inspiration and an example that will encourage the Konyak youth and younger generation to come forward, record and produce songs and albums in their own dialect.
Meanwhile, Samuel has informed that he’d be helping the youth ministry through the production of the album.
The album will be available at all local churches in Mon town. (Correspondent)
