SCHE conducts awareness prog on ‘ill effects of tobacco’

Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) Youth department sensitised hostellers of Holy Family Theheku on ill effects of tobacco on September 17. 
Resource person of the programme, SCHE lecturer Daisinlung Sebastian Kamsuan, pointed out the deadly effects of tobacco – diseases of the mouth, tongue and teeth; cancer on the lip, wind-pipe, and throat; damage of blood vessels, heart attack and stroke.
 In the second session, basing on the life story of Armstrong Pame, Kamsuan motivated the students to do their daily normal duties with enthusiasm and to have a clear vision of what they want to become after five or ten years down the line. 
The event was coordinated by SCHE youth director Fr. Christudoss, Isaiah Newme and Khraw Burom Wanniang, while in-charge Holy Family Hostel, Polycarp delivered vote of thanks. 24 students of classes 10-12, who took the pledge to say no to tobacco and help people live a healthier life.
