Churches celebrate ‘World Sunday School Day’

Children Ministry of different churches across the state celebrated the first Sunday of November as “World Sunday School Day” with vibrant performances by children. Special songs, chorography, skits, Bible verse recitation etc. marked the day.
ATBC: Atoizu Town Baptist Church (ATBC), Sümi Baptist Akukhoü Kuqhakülü- Nito Mount, celebrated “World Sunday School Day” under the theme “Children you are my Witness”.
Various items like “can’t stop” by Dazzling Star; “glorious” by Flaming Voice; “amazing grace” (dance) by Sunday school students; “fashion parade” by All Star class; “indigenous song” by All Star class (girls); “God is on the move” (dance) by kids for Christ class; “My God is powerful” (dance) by Jesus and me class; Bible memory by Akinali T.  Yeputho; puppet play “nothing can buy happiness” and “Happy the home when God is there” by Sunday school choir were performed in the service.
Exhorting the congregation, Bokai H. Awomi encouraged the parents to know their responsibility and to know the importance of children in their life and encouraged them to nurture their children well.
The programme commenced with prayer by ATBC associate pastor women, Shetoni; hymnal song and responsive reading by Ilino V. Chophy; offertory prayer by ATBC associate pastor youth,  Khevikali; vote of thanks by ATBC associate pastor children, Tina Phuleshe; a blessing prayer for children  by ATBC Pastor, Daniel Sumi and word of prayer by Hojuli N. Shohe.  
SBC Bamunpukhuri: “World Sunday School day-cum- Sunday School graduation: was celebrated at Sumi Baptist Church Bamunpukhuri, Dimapur with choreography, music, play and dance by the children. Altogether 10 children graduated from Sunday school to join youth in their future activities in the church. A special prayer for the graduating students was led by Sumi Baptist Church Bamunpukhuri, Pastor Hekato Awomi. 
CBCK: Children ministry of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) celebrated “World Sunday School Day-cum-graduation” celebration at the Church premises under the theme “Keep looking unto Jesus.” Neinuo Lohe was the main speaker while Rev. Khrotso Mero pronounced prayer of blessing. The programme was led by Veduzo Rhakho while the report of the CBCK Sunday School was presented by Asabu Puro. Sunday school children presented songs while graduating class also performed at the programme.
