‘Winter Mela’ begins at Mokokchung

Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) president Imkumeren, inaugurated the Winter Mela organized by Lungpangshuang Co-operative Society at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on Tuesday. 

The winter Mela, which is an annual feature of the Mokokchung festive season, will continue throughout the winter season till January 2018. 

In a brief speech, Imkummeren Jamir, expressed happiness to the organizers for bringing the Mela to the town which adds colors to the festivities of the town.  However, he also requested the organizers to keep the Mela timing in a disciplined way so that the neighbors living around the stadiums, especially the students appearing their exams, are not disturbed.  He also suggested if a stall could be allowed or opened so that local entrepreneurs and businesspersons can also showcase and sell their products.
