
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) launched its official website www.nagalandpcc.org Monday at Congress Bhavan, Kohima.
A press release by NPCC media cell stated that NPCC general secretary and state co-ordinator social media Capt. G.K. Zhimomi said that the website launch had come at an opportune time in reaching out to the people especially the younger generations, to educate them on the policies, programmes and activities of the party.
He also informed that other social media platforms like facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube links have been provided on the website for better interface and connect with the people.
NPCC president, K. Therie pressed the live button taking the website online in the presence of senior leaders and host of party workers.
In the programme, BJP workers from Mokokchung district who had formally joined the Congress from BJP were welcomed.
Addressing the programme, state president, Narendra Modi Vichar Manch S. Lepzung Jamir said that having worked with BJP, the workers realised that the BJPs ideology was not in the interests of the Naga people.
He said the group had decided to join the Congress Party to work together under the leadership of K. Therie in the state and Rahul Gandhi at the national level.
He exuded confidence that the Congress party in the district and state would gain momentum in the run-up to the upcoming general election.
