With the announcement of the General Election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly by the Election Commission of India on January 18 and in pursuance of the chief electoral officer (CEO) press release on January 18, the DC & DEO Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan has informed all concerned that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for guidance of political parties and candidates comes into force with immediate effect throughout Kohima district and would be in force till the completions of the election process.
The political parties, intending candidates, government departments/establishments and general public have been informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the model code of conduct and extend cooperation to the district election machinery to ensure peaceful conduct of the said General Election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
