‘World Blood Donors Day’ observed in Peren

District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DAPCU) and Red Ribbon Club, Peren Government College observed “World Blood Donors Day” on June 14 at Peren Government College under the theme “Be there for someone else” and the slogan “Give Blood, Save Life”.
A press release issued by DAPCU Peren stated that the resource person, district ICTC supervisor Peren, Ngauzeulungbe, gave a speech on the theme and shared a talk on “blood safety”. 
STS RNTCP, Christy Putlang, also gave a brief presentation on Tuberculosis and some services available at the District Hospital.
The programme was chaired by account assistant DAPCU, Ekiebe, welcome note was given by assistant professor and nodal officer RRC, Sazutlak Domta, exhortation was delivered by Peren Government College, vice principal, Albert and words of gratitude by programme assistant DAPCU, Pauheugau.
Altogether 165 people attended the programme and 20 students availed of free blood grouping and HIV screening.
