The Electrical Inspectorate as the Nagaland State Designated Agency (NSDA) organised the “Green Village Initiative” at Nihokhu, Dimapur July 6 and at Samzuiram, Peren on July 7.
A press release by chief electrical inspector, Kohima, Er. I. V. Chishi stated that in his introductory speech, he highlighted energy conservation and role of the public in affectively carrying out implementation of energy conservation measures etc. The chairman of the two villages also delivered short speeches and thanked the department for conducting the program in their respective villages.
The department distributed efficient ceiling fans, LED bulbs and LED street lights free of cost super as encouragement towards energy conservation.
