
The District Anglers’ Wokha Nagaland (DAWN) in association with department of fisheries and aquatics resources, government of Nagaland will be organising workshop & fingerlings fish release program on September 1, 9 a.m. at Doyang lake (the Woods).
In a press release, DAWN president, KN Mhonthung Lotha, secretary organizer & events, Khyolamo Humtsoe, and general secretary Chumbemo T Ngullie, requested Doyang Fishermen Association, the Fish Mongers Union and all the surrounding villages of Doyang lake to attend the workshop compulsorily with two delegates each. The workshop is aimed at encouraging sustainable fishing methods and stopping destructive fishing, use of dynamites and chemicals. All interested members of the fishing community in the state have also been requested to come and benefit from the workshop.
