Fuel prices in the country hit a new benchmark on Saturday with the price of petrol in Mumbai touching Rs 89 per litre, for the first time ever and in Delhi it was Rs. 81,63
Diesel prices, on the other hand, registered a similar surge in both the metropolitan cities. It was retailing at Rs 73.54 per litre (increased by Rs 0.24 per litre) in the national capital and at Rs 78.07 per litre (increased by Rs 0.25 per litre) in the financial capital.
Meanwhile, in Dimapur petrol price as on Saturday cost to Rs. 79.34 per litre and in Kohima it crossed the Rs. 80 mark costing Rs. 80.10 per litre. Diesel price in Dimapur was Rs. 71.30 and in Kohima Rs. 71.87 per litre respectively.
