
Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya on Saturday informed that the Raj Bhavan will be celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary by organizing a seminar on “thoughts and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi” with eminent resource persons on October 2, 2018.
This was stated during a meeting with Higher Education officials, Nagaland College Principals Association members and Nagaland University representatives chaired by PB Acharay, PRO Raj Bhavan stated in a press statement.
He also informed that Raj Bhavans across the country will be organising similar programmes to mark the occasion.
Acharya has also instructed Higher Education department to conduct quiz competitions related to Mahatma Gandhi in all the Districts of Nagaland. The winners of the competition will be felicitated on October 2 at Raj Bhavan, he added.
Around 250 college students from Kohima and Dimapur are expected to take part in the programme, PRO said.
