
Seven-day training programme on Skill Training of Rural Youths (STRY) got underway from September 14 and will culminate on September 21, at Horticulture Research Farm, Pfutsero under (STRY).
A press release from Horticulture Research Farm Pfutsero, horticulture officer stated that during the training programme, resource person DHO Phek Moalemba highlighted on the importance of “transportation and marketing of fruits and vegetables” in rural areas.
The programme was chaired by horticulture officer HRF, Pfutsero Sentinungba Longchar, who welcomed the participants and also spoke on the objective of the training programme.
The training programme intends to target about 100 rural youths from different villages with 15 trainees per programme.
The training programme has been organised by district horticuture office, Phek & ATMA, Phek sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India.
