Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) celebrated its 57th General Session-&-Freshers’ Social at State Academy Hall Kohima on September 22.
According to KCSU general secretary Viewolo Koza, the occasion was graced by PWD minister, Tongpang Ozukum as guest speaker. In his speech, he reminded that the students that they should know how to define the aims, visions and purpose of their lives.
He advised them to take a positive attitude towards everything they approach in life, saying that no matter what the results may be, they should believe that their success was inevitable. The minister also highlighted the importance of time management by reminding the students to utilize their time properly so that they would have no regrets later in life. He further urged the students to fear God and trust Him in whatever they do.
The programme chaired by Veteu Koza began with an invocation by Rokosano Koza followed by KCSU presidential address by Zacusato Theyo.
A greeting message was delivered by CSU president, Lavoto Chizo, and CHK president Theja Therei exhorted the gathering. The secretary’s report was presented by Viewolo Koza. In the second session, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, additional director ATI and additional secretary, graced the program as session speaker. In his speech, Zehol asserted that the students should be dedicated in their pursuits in this age of competition. He also and challenged the students to work hard since every human being is uniquely created and beautifully blessed.
He ended his speech by advising the students present to preserve the rich Naga culture, heritage, flora and fauna and maintain peace and tranquillity with nature. Cwole Duolo and Atolu Kotso were declared Mr. and Miss freshers KCSU 2018.
