Eden Medical Centre’s (EMC) pathology department has become the first diagnostic centre in Nagaland to receive accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). EMC received accreditation for testing in the disciplines of clinical biochemistry, clinical pathology, haematology and immunohaematology.
NABL is an autonomous society under Quality Council of India, Government of India, and laboratory accreditation is a means of determining technical competence of laboratories to perform specific types of testing.
Tests done at a medical lab accredited by NABL are most accurate, safe, reliable and reproducible. As extensive evaluation of lab staff, instruments and documents are done during assessment by NABL to ensure that whatever is done and produced at the laboratory are of national and international standards. Reports generated from NABL-accredited labs are accepted all over India and abroad.
