
National Health Mission Employees Association Nagaland (NEAN) Monday announced that it has decided to join one-day nationwide strike called by All India National Health Mission Karmchari Sangh (All India National Health Mission Employees Association) on October 25, 2018 from 6am to 6pm.
In a press release, NEAN president, Dr. Shasinlo Magh, and general secretary, Kewetso Kenye, said the strike, which would be in the form of cease work, has been called to press for long pending demands.
According to NEAN, a memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister Office for addressing the demands, but no positive response has been received so far.
The demands include equal work equal pay; basic service benefit for NHM employees; framing and implementation of HR policy as per GoI guidelines; regularization of service.
Meanwhile, NEAN has directed all the NHM employees of Nagaland to participate in the strike/cease work on that day.
