Public Action Committee (PAC) of the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has expressed utter shock over the illegal collections and repeated demand from new building construction of Aoyim Baptist church by none other than NPGs.
In a press release, PAC convenor, Vekhosayi Nyekha, and co-convenor K Ghokheto Chophy, termed the act as “sacrilege” and said this has gone beyond imagination. PAC urged every Naga to seriously think and rise up before it was too late. It said the “so-called national workers” were set to sale out Naga cause and future which was dear to all.
Appreciating the efforts of the security forces in containing criminal activities, PAC has appealed to the general public to extend all possible support and cooperation to the security forces to check criminals.
Further, PAC appealed to the responsible NPG leaders to immediately take steps to discipline their cadres, who were on rampage. PAC cautioned that failure to do so could force civilians to take measures against criminal activities of the “erring national workers.”
