
‘Candle Factory for Disability Livelihood’ was inaugurated by additional secretary, RD and mission director, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Athel O Lotha at Burma Camp, Dimapur on November 24.
The candle factory is sponsored by veteran disability activist and National Executive Council member of PARIVAAR-NCPO and also zonal secretary PwIIDs (NE), Akum Ezung.
A press release by Rev. Dr. Nrio Ezung stated that special guest, Athel O Lotha, in her address, lauded Akum Ezung for undertaking a project under his own expenses, aimed at helping those with disabilities earn a livelihood.
“There is no bigger love and concern than to love and contribute towards the livelihood of disabled persons,” she stated.
Khoshakho Yanthan, who also spoke on the occasion, lauded Akum Ezung for sponsoring the candle manufacturing factory, while also pointing out that Ezung is a social person, a good writer who has contributed in the spread of social integrity and awareness in Nagaland. Representing the disabled persons, the manager of the candle factory, Kishore Thapa also lauded the efforts of Akum Ezung.
The other highlights of the program were: a welcome address by Akum Ezung, dedicatory prayer by Rev Dr Nrio Ezung, vote of thanks by DSO Wokha, A Chopanthung Ezung, and benediction by Dr Tsenthungo Patton. The program was chaired by Loreni.
