In a major boost and relief for four new villages under Pungro sub- division in Kiphire district, on November 25, Power department Nagaland successfully installed solar home lighting for 96 households in Amikioro, Tukiavong, Khaha and Canaan villages under the Subhagya infrastructures 2017-18 scheme.
Speaking at the dedication program, SDO (Elect) Pungro, N. Rumphio Lotha expressed happiness that the residents of remote areas could now access solar home lighting in all the four villages. He also appealed to the general public to cooperate with the department in all necessary activities. Meanwhile, all the four villages VCC/ GBs on behalf of the village, expressed gratitude to power department officials engineer-in- chief, chief engineer D&R and E.E. (E) Kiphire, for their initiative and the successful completion of the work in such a remote area. They also pledged their full cooperation for any work in the days to come.
