Stage is set for the much anticipated three-day festival, ‘The Dimapur Fest’ which begins today at Dimapur District Sports Complex (DDSC) from 10 a.m. onwards.
The event has been organised by The Better Dimapur Team in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Naga Council Dimapur, GB’s Union Dimapur, Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF) and Naga Hoho Dimapur.
Some of the main attractions of the festival include, Aero Modelling, Christmas Choral Competition (Open & Junior Categories), Photography Contest, Waste to Art, Dance Battle, Tug of War, Bamboo Stilt Race, Best Santa Claus, Quiz Competition and Penalty Shoot-out.
The festival is slated to bring together around 90 colonies in Dimapur to participate in various activities wherein the cleanest colony award will also be given away.
With the people now gearing up for the upcoming festivities, the festival guarantees to provide healthy and family-oriented activities through the food stalls, games & sports and also making the festival an alcohol-free zone.
Organized for the first time the festival will feature renowned artistes including Kate Shoo, Alobo Naga and The Band, KC Lights (Shillong), Ravator, DJ Sumika, Zuchobeni Tungoe, Meribeni Patton and Musik-A.
Stalls will be set-up by various youths bodies, local entrepreneurs and one of the special attractions will be this year’s Naga Chef winner Vikhuli Achumi.
The three day festival will have a series of well planned events which has been designed to keep the festival goers entertained.
