The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has appealed to the general public to cooperate fully with CYF regarding the two lane road construction project taken up by two companies in Phek district so that development may continue without any hindrances.
The construction projects and their contractors are: Chakhabama to Zunheboto via Chozuba by MUDOKOM and Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba — by NHIDCL. A press release from Lhuvesayi Lohe, president CYF and Medovelo Sono, general secretary CYF stated that these mega projects will facilitate long term benefit for the district, and in this regard, the youth front has requested citizens of all neighbouring villages and towns, be they individual or groups, to cooperate fully during the construction period.
“Any unwanted elements demanding or extorting or causing damage to equipments and machineries, the CYF will not tolerate or allow such elements to hamper the live line project in any manner and will take any action deem fit against such person(s)” stated the release.
The youth front also affirmed that they would stand firm with the two-lane committee constituted by the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) on any decision taken that will benefit the people.
The association has also appealed to the district administration and PWD (R&B) “to act and discharge their duties without any hesitation.”
