An Operation Restoration Rehab (ORR) for women clients was launched in Heningkungle, Peren on February 7.
A press release from ORR chairman Hauneu Hiekha stated that the ORR has been established through the efforts of CAO Asalu region, L. David to adhere to and protect the NTLF Act 1989.
The ORR brought all NGOs, and around four to five associations of Peren district together to fight towards eradication of alcohol and to create awareness within the upcoming generation. It is run and monitored by a working committee along with the support of NSCN (I-M) Asalu region.
The ORR was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, general secretary NBCC in the presence of ZBCC, ZBA (ANM) LBA, RBCN and other NGOs and NSCN (I-M) leaders.
The dedication of the rehab building was also attended by pastors from various communities from Jalukie town and Heningkunglwa, public leaders and choir and singing group from H/Kunglwa. Operation Salvage also presented special songs.
