
Republican Party of India (RPI-A) observer & In charge for North East India and West Bengal, Vinod Nikalje, in consultation with the party’s national president, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ram Das Athawale, has clarified that I Chubatangit Jamir is not its Nagaland unit president.
Nikalje, in a press statement sent through RPI(A) general secretary Haisui Zeliang, stated that the claim was “misguiding and baseless”. Nikalje further termed it a “cheap attempt to halt the party movement” which is a “desperate attempt to be called a leader.”
He added that the declaration of Mughato Ayemi as party state president RPI(A) Nagaland State Committee remains unchallenged till date. “He is the rightful authority to act and take any decision in regard to party matters in the state of Nagaland, any decision taken by him will be regarded at the highest in both State and Centre” the press release asserted.
It further warned that anyone using the name of party leaders, pictures and trying to tarnish the good image of leaders and the party would be dealt with strictly.
