
Sumi Baptist Church Kohima (SBCK), Youth Department organized a youth revival crusade under the theme, “Walk by faith” from March 15 to 17.
A press release from SBCK associate pastor youth, Kashito Aye stated that SBCK associate pastor Khekavi Yeptho and Rev. Kahoto Zhimo, pastor, Sakipheto Baptist Church (SBC) were the main speakers of the crusade. Khekavi Yeptho spoke about the need to keep one’s body holy and keep it from getting defiled. He quoted 1 Corinthians 6:19 and encouraged youth to stay away from various tobacco products, and beverages that defiles the human body and urged the congregation to present their bodies, pure and holy for God’s purpose. In the second session, Rev. Kahoto Zhimomi shared his life testimony about a stroke experience and how he was still able to serve the living God. Rev. Zhimomi said that doctors told him to not speak for more than 20 minutes but he said, he was alive for the sake of the gospel and it is God that strengthens him as he keeps preaching the gospel of Jesus. He encouraged the youth to work for God and challenged them to overcome worldly distractions that could hinder their search for a meaningful life prepared by God.
Kuholi Chishi, associate pastor, women ministry SBCK chaired the crusade and special numbers were presented by Male Voice, True Vine, Living Witness and Healing Calls. Rev. Dr. Hokheto Chophi, senior pastor SBCK, also prayed for young men and women who gave their lives to Christ in the crusade.
