AR construct community building for Pimla

A Community Building constructed by Assam Rifles Training Centre & School (ARTC&S), Shokhuvi village, under the military’s civic action program, at Pimla village was inaugurated by Brigadier Arjun Segan, as special guest on March 19.

A press release from chairman of Health Sub-Centre Pimla village, Hokuto Kiho stated that the newly constructed building will be utilised as a health care facility for the village. 

Inaugurating the building in the presence of military and government officials, village elders and villagers, Arjun Segan dedicated the building to the service of the villagers.

Speaking on the occasion, the special guest thanked the villagers for the warm reception accorded to him, his family members and his subordinates. He pointed out that peace was a prerequisite for society and said it was because of peace that military personnel were able to reach out to the people extending services that were beneficial to the people. He assured the villagers that the ARTC&S would continue in its endeavour to assist in the village’s development

Also speaking on the occasion on behalf of the Health and Family Welfare department, senior medical officer, Dr. Moatemjen, CHC Dhansirupar thanked the Assam Rifles for constructing the building. 

P. Dohoi Swu, head GB of the village also thanked the Assam Rifles and said that the military personnel had rendered yeoman service towards development of the village.

The inaugural function was chaired by Lovitoli Swu, headmistress, Pimla Baptist Mission School. Kihovi Swu, pastor, NCRC Pimla said the invocation prayer. Ghohekhu Awomi pronounced the benediction. A women’s group of the village presented folk songs and dances to mark the occasion.
