Seyochung Area Students Union (SASU) interacted with functionaries of Yingphire and Thungthure villages under Seyochung Area of Kiphire district on March 16 and deliberated the ongoing road construction from L- 022 to Yingphire Village under PMGSY.
The union, along with village leaders, also inspected the ongoing road construction.
According to press release by SASU president, K.Chumseli Anar and general secretary, Achumba Jingru, after the road inspection Chumseli lamented that the construction quality was not up to the people’s satisfaction. He beseeched the concerned contractor to repair the fragile black topping on the road, and carpet the remaining area with black topping using quality tools.
The union also urged village leaders to be vigilant and cooperate with the contractor in all things regarding the ongoing road construction. Further, the union urged the department concerned to inspect the road construction and also release payments as per work completed.
