
NNC, FGN to celebrate 73rd Naga Independence Day: Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will be celebrating the 73rd Nagaland Independence Day on August 14 at 10 a.m at Peace Camp, Chedema. All the fellow countrymen have been cordially invited in the function.
RMA executive meeting: Rengma Mothers Association (RMA) Dimapur has convened an executive meeting on August 10 at 11 am at CSS hall, Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church, Dimapur. All executives of RMAD, assistant pastor women, Rengma Churches, Dimapur, advisors, senior mothers, area executives, RMAD and two mothers from each Church within Dimapur have been requested to attend the meeting positively. Paper bag making will also be imparted to the attendees and therefore asked them to bring scissors along with waste news papers.
PNNM raising day: Poumai Naga Naotumai me Kohima (PNNM) (Poumai women organization) 12th raising day under the theme “ how women can change in politics” would be held on August 9 at 10am at Poumai Baptist Church Midland Kohima with ex-chairperson PNNMK Rocinah Raili as the speaker. All women folk living in Kohima town have been requested to attend the programme.
PNTMK fresher’s social: The 35th fresher’s social of Poumai Naga Tsüdoumai me Kohima (PNTMK) (students’ union) would be held on August 24 at 10am at Baptist high auditorium Kohima. Assistant general manager SBI Hepuni Bismarck will grace the occasion as special guest and president Poumai Hoho Nagaland PH. Shesou as guest of honour, president Poumai Tsüdoumai me Isaac Thaoveinü and assistant general secretary NSF Ng. Süpunü Philo as the special invitees. All the students’ community and Poumai citizens living in Kohima have been requested to attend the programme with at least traditional attire on that day.
AIFFSO Nagaland state to observe quit India movement: Office bearers and members of All India Freedom fighter and successors’ organization (AIFFSO) Nagaland state unit along with the well wishers will be observing the 77th quit India movement on August 9 at 9am with two minute silent prayer at Sahiyta Sabha PR hill Kohima Nagaland.
State level training on cultivation of flowers: Department of Horticulture will be organizing a two-day state level training on cultivation and management of flowers and vegetable under protected condition on August 8 and 9 from 9.30 a.m. at the conference hall.
Financial literacy examination for classes IX & X postponed: Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified that the examination for financial literacy class IX & X which was to be held tentatively on August 10 has been postponed. The schools offering financial literacy course have been informed to note the following: Examination will be conducted on August 30 from 9:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Schools have been asked to collect question papers from the designated centre school on August 27 and schools under Kohima district from the Board’s office on August 28 during office hours.
DGC informs: Dimapur Government College (DGC) has informed all BA & B.Com 6th semester students, who had passed out in the year 2018, to collect their NU pass certificate along with marksheet in person on August 23, during the office hours.
NLVSU emergency meet: Nrung Longidang Village Students Union (NLVSU) executive and 59th General conference organizing committee has convened an emergency meeting on August 10 at 3:30 p.m. at Eastern Bible College chapel hall, Bank Colony Dimapur. All the members of the executive and organizing committee have been requested to attend the meeting.
Mokokchung DPDB postponed: ADC Mokokchung has informed DPDB members of Mokokchung that the scheduled meeting of the DPDB Mokokchung for the month of August 2019 has been postponed. Date and time will be notified later on accordingly.
Workshop postponed: Workshop on “Community reserve forest for protection and conservation of wildlife with special reference to Human-Elephant conflict mitigation process” organised by Wildlife Wing Dimapur Division, in collaboration with Green Succession of Nagaland State (Green-SONS) scheduled on August 21 has been postponed to August 22 due to unavoidable circumstances. Venue and time remains the same.
