ACAUT Nagaland and PSAN have extended support to Nagaland NET Qualified Forum (NNQF)’s demand for advertisement of 110 assistant professors and librarians posts in the higher education department. In a joint press release, ACAUT chairman Tia Longchar and PSAN convenor Mughaka have questioned why was NPSC delaying the advertising of the 63 posts in spite of requisition by the higher education department?
They also queried for what purpose the higher education department withheld five posts out of the 68 posts sent to NPSC for requisition? Further, ACAUT and PSAN asked why NPSC has not yet declared the results of 86 post of Common Education Service Exam held on March 9? Seeking immediate answers from the higher education department and NPSC, the two organisations maintained that the patience of the stakeholders, who were for meritocracy, transparency and justice, should not be tested as they still believed in the rule of law. If any unfair practices or unjustified delays were made, ACAUT and PSAN cautioned that they would use all democratic means of expressing resentment.
