NK Naga’s ‘Bapu’ tribute to Gandhi

 Ngukavi Zhimo, popularly known as NK Naga “Naga Hindi Singer” has released a music video on YouTube titled “Bapu”, a tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.  Influenced by Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence, N K Naga through this video wanted to revive Gandhi’s principles, which has been lacking in the present society.  He said that the song was dedicated to Gandhi’s contribution to the nation and to unite all the people of the country through non-violence.  

N K Naga’s 3 minute video, “Bapu” (tribute to Mahatma Gandhi) was recorded at Lkr music records, Dimapur and has been has been nominated for the 11th Music Awards of Nagaland in pop (local dialects). Another of his hit song “Tujhe kitna chahne lage” has also been nominated for the 11th Music Awards of Nagaland in cover song category. He also called for promotion of Hindi music in Nagaland stating that there are many talented Hindi artists in the state but lamented lack of platform. 
It may be mentioned that NK Naga also participated in “Northeast Geet Zindagi Ki” in 2017 where he was declared the winner. 
In 2018, he also participated in the Bengali Semi Classical Song competition, and finished first runner-up. Apart from this, he also performs at various shows in Dimapur and Northeast states.
