In view of the panic buying tendency in Mokokchung due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has informed the public that there is enough stock of essential commodities in the market, including fuel and medicines. Further, to dispel the rumours, MCCI has also clarified that commercial vehicles ferrying essential commodities to Mokokchung are doing business as usual.
Meanwhile, MCCI has warned all traders not to sell any items at prices higher than the marked price especially masks and hand sanitizers. Further, in compliance with the government’s directive, members have been informed that all pre-planned engagements of MCCI shall remain deferred until further notice.
