District office of the Home Guards & Civil Defence (HG&CD), Mokokchung in continuance with the programme to impart basic training on disaster management organized one-day training at town hall, Mokokchung on March 7. According to DIPR report, training was attended by the students and cadets of Bharat Scouts & Guides and NCC from Mayangnokcha Govt. Higher Secondary School (MGHSS). Participants were imparted training on CPR, FBAO, bandaging, knot, lashing splinting and emergency method of rescue (EMR). Theoretical classes along with demonstration and hand on practical were carried out for in depth understanding and learning during the day long training programme.
A similar exercise was also conducted by Home Guards & Civil Defence, Phek at Christian Mission Higher Secondary School (CMHSS), Phek and Kiddies Corner School (KCS), Phek on March 6 and 7 respectively. Programme started with a brief introduction on disaster management by district commandant, Phek after which he led the mock drill & demo on CRP (First Aid), bandaging and splinting, emergency method of rescue, knots and lashing. Training was attended by students, teachers and faculty members.
