
The deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur Anoop Kinchi and commissioner of police (CP) Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo have appealed to the public to stay at home.
DC urged the citizens not to come out to the street unnecessarily as the nation lockdown was still in force.
DC advised the public to avail the essential commodities from the colony markets during the specified timing (9am to 2pm). Anoop also appealed to the public to maintain strict social distancing.
Reminding that Section 144 CrPC was still in force in the main town and Highway stretch except those under exemption list, the CP urged the public not to come out in the main road/ national highway.
CP also requested the vehicle permit holders not to misuse the passes issued, saying relaxation was given by the authority only for official purpose. Other vehicles moving out in the main town without permits would be seized, he cautioned.
