Troops of Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Nagaland Police apprehended an active cadre of NSCN (I-M) near 5th Mile in Dimapur district on June 5. According to PRO (Defence), based on specific inputs regarding presence of a UG cadre, the team launched an operation and apprehended a cadre of NSCN (I-M) from the area. The apprehended cadre has been identified as ‘SS Capt’ Nganaomi, age 33 years, s/o Rasheng Ramsan, r/o Central Jail Colony in Dimapur district. The team also recovered one radio based mobile system, one canon camera, six mobile phones and other incriminating documents. The apprehended individual along with recovered items have been handed over to Diphupar Police Station for further investigations.
