To take all required precautionary steps to mitigate the possible spread of COVID-19 virus, deputy commissioner (DC) Mon Thavaseelan K, has promulgated Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 prohibiting movement of public within 1km radius of the Containment Zone (Wangkhao Government College Campus and the adjoining ITI Campus) with immediate effect.
In this regard, the DC cautioned that anyone found violating the order would be liable for punishment under Section 188 of the India Penal Code.
