Nagaland Medical Dealers Association (NMDA) Monday said it has taken note of some people moving around with restricted medicine having fake medical IDs pasted on their vehicles that were not issued by its office. In a press release, NMDA joint secretary Arijit Sharma said the association was against such type of mischievous and fraudulent activity carried out by certain individuals.
NMDA has, therefore, informed its members to immediately renew their IDs by August 7. It said that old ID cards issued by NMDA office would be cancelled. Further, NDMA has urged the police department and the administration to bring to book anyone found involved in fraudulent activity relating to supply of restricted medicines without having proper documents and ID issued by NMDA and punish as per law. Asserting that it has always tried to serve people to the best of its ability, the NMDA has assured to perform the same in the interest of the public health.
