Supporting the clarification given by its president on August 14, the Mon District GB Association (MDGBA) has expressed “resentment” at the statement of NSCN (I-M) Konyak region published on August 12.
A press release by Mon District GB Association president Longphick Konyak and general secretary, Lokphong stated that, the NSCN (I-M) Konyak region “deliberately attempted to tarnish the name of president, NGBF, Shaghlem Konyak.”
Asserting that NSCN IM (Konyak region) “deliberately misrepresented facts and made unfounded narrative” to cause rift between NGBF and NSCN (I-M) and other stakeholders in talks with the GoI, the Mon District GB Association stated that the association stands by the clarification given by its president. It also firmly upholds the stand for early solution to the long standing Naga conundrum, taking all stakeholders onboard.
