
Dimapur Fire & Emergency Services contained fire outbreak at Zeliang Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur on September 14.
A press release by F&ES Nagaland, deputy SP (F&ES) T. Shilu Jamir stated that, on receiving fire call at 10:26 a.m, the F&ES mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur (central) to control the fire. Two fire tenders along with sufficient equipments and fire personnel pressed into action and due to timely response, properties worth over Rs. 10 lakhs could be salvaged and fire prevented from spreading. There was no report of casualty while the cause of fire is due to commercial LPG cylinder hose leakage. Response team was led by duty commander ASI, G. Niamlungpou Gonmei.
