Highway Patrol team, Kohima Police while on routine patrolling along NH29 on September 12, 3 a.m. intercepted a truck B/R No UP-21CN-0657.
According to Police/PRO, on thorough search of the vehicle, the team recovered 260 kgs of contraband ganja worth approximately Rs. 15 lakhs. The driver along with the other occupant Md. Sgalin (32 years), Hashanpur, Amruha (UP) and Sophen (20 years), Hashanpur, Amruha were arrested for illegal transportation of contraband ganja.
Meanwhile, the vehicle along with the contraband ganja was seized and a case was registered at Sechü (Zubza) PS for further investigation.
