State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) decreased prices of petrol and diesel by 13-16 paise across the metros on Monday.
According to IOCL website, the prices of petrol in the national capital Delhi were slashed to Rs.81.72 from Rs.81.86 per litre and diesel rates were cut to Rs.72.78 from Rs.72.93 per litre.
After today’s rate revision, petrol price in Dimapur was reduced to Rs.87.03 per litre and diesel price was lowered to Rs.78.65 per litre.
In the state capital Kohima, prices of petrol and diesel stood at Rs.87.92 per litre and Rs.79.37 per litre respectively.
Currently, any revisions in the domestic fuel prices are effected at the pumps by state-run oil marketing companies at 6 a.m.
