
Inspector General (IG), Manipur and Nagaland sector, CRPF, Randeep Datta, PMG, reviewed deployment and security scenario in Nagaland, along with DIGP (Ops) Syamchand De, CRPF Kohima on September 10.
A press release by DIG (Ops) Range, CRPF, Kohima stated that, Datta called on Governor of Nagaland, R.N. Ravi, chief secretary, home commissioner, IG AR (N), and discussed on existing security threat ramifications and upgrading security grid. He also discussed to adopt effective strategy to counter natural calamities through efficacious disaster management.
He further explained about multiple civic action programme executed by CRPF in Nagaland and specifically mentioned about commendable contribution of DIG (Ops) Kohima Range, 78 and 173 Bn, CRPF, during pandemic Covid-19 crises.
IGP also stressed and assured to do more community development programme in far-flung pockets for socio-economic development of the poor/needy people of Nagaland. He also expressed that CRPF was ever ready to adopt all steps to ensure national integrity, security and peace to the citizens.
