DNSU 3rd union assembly: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has convened its 3rd union assembly on September 19, 11 a.m. at its office. All constituent units have been asked to send one representative and submit agendas, if any, on the day of the Assembly. Tribunals and senior leaders of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union have been requested to attend the assembly.
KYO informs: In view of COVID-19 pandemic and in support of the government’s decision and guidelines to maintain all SOPs, Khonoma Youth Organization (KYO) has informed that all tourism activities under Khonoma jurisdiction will be halted until further notice. KYO has informed that activities like picnics, trekking, sightseeing, loitering will be strictly prohibited under Khonoma jurisdiction. It has warned that defaulters would be penalized. KYO said these activities shall resume post COVID pandemic.
SCERT informs on NMMSS: Additional director HoD, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has informed scholarship holders under the national means-cum-merit scholarship scheme (NMMSS) that the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is open for fresh and renewal applications for the year 2020-21. All scholarship holders or qualified students are directed to register on NSP, where the closing date of scheme is on October 31, defective and institute verifications on November 15. The DEOs and school heads have been requested to take note of the time frame and assist the qualified students or scholarship holders to immediately apply on NSP.
IGNOU informs: Regional director i/c, IGNOU regional centre, Dr. Mayonmi Shimray has informed that June, 2020 term-end examination for final year/end semester students of Indira Gandhi national Open University (IGNOU) will commence from September 17 with last exam on October 16. Students may download hall tickets from the university website, however examination centres have been instructed to allow students to appear exams, even if they do not possess the hall ticket (examination intimation slips), but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.
