
Nagaland on Monday reported 11 fresh COVID-19 cases– 6 in Kohima, 4 in Tuensang and 1 in Dimapur, taking the tally to 5957.
Further, out of the 5,957 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 2801 cases from the armed forces/police, 1482 returnees, 1334 traced contacts and 340 frontline workers.
1 dead in Kohima: Kohima registered its first COVID-19 death after a 74-year old patient died at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima on Sunday afternoon. According to hospital sources, the patient suffered from comorbidity too, besides testing positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, India on Monday reported 82,170 new COVID cases, while the number of recoveries surged to 50.17 lakh after 74,893 more people recuperated in the last 24 hours, Health ministry said.
