Incessant rain for the past few days in Kohima caused landslide and damaged 10 houses at Lower PWD at around 9:30 pm on Sunday.
Speaking to Nagaland Post on Monday, Lower PWD Youth Organization president, Kevi Mere informed that around 30 youths volunteered to help the aggrieved families affected by the landslide. He said that the area was prone to landslide but the major disaster occurred last night damaging properties.
He also informed that the incident was reported to the deputy commissioner Kohima and the District Disaster Management Authority, however no official has visited the site to take stock of the situation.
