As part of the roadside plantation under Green Belt Development-Phase, the Kohima Smart City (KSC) is undertaking plantations along the NH-2 roadsides from Naga Hospital Colony till Phesama Checkgate.
A press release by KSC CEO, Kovi Meyase informed that Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) that these plantations were public property and thus to treat them with due diligence.
CEO of KSC also stated that there have been instances in the recent past of certain elements indulging in destroying, stealing and marring similar plantations within the city.
The most recent incident occurred opposite SKV petrol pump on the night of October 4, where matured plants were uprooted and taken away.
CEO therefore appealed and reminded all to desist from such activities for the general benefit of all.
The plantations will not only beautify, spruce and facelift the city but will also absorb dust pollutants.
