
DCs Dimapur, Longleng ban fire crackers: DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan has directed complete ban on sale and use of fire crackers in Dimapur district from November 10 to January 31, 2021 in public interest. Goanburas/chairman of the respective village/colonies has been directed to ensure compliance to the order under supervision of the concerned area administrative officer. Deputy commissioner Longleng has also directed that there shall be a complete ban on sale and use of fire crackers in Longleng district from November 10 to January 31, 2020. DCs further cautioned that any person found violating the order shall be punished under relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other relevant laws.
DC Kohima notifies on sealed areas: Deputy commissioner Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A has notified that in view of the detection of a COVID-19 positive patient, the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima has decided to seal the School Education department, Nagaland Civil Secretariat and SCERT department, Nagaland Civil Secretariat. The offices have temporarily closed/shut for a period of 48 hours, wherein fumigation of the premises is being initiated, following all health safety measures and SOPs.The sealed areas are mapped and cordoned off and the public and all concerned are advised to follow all safety precautions and maintain social/physical distances to ensure public hygiene and personal safety within the proximity of the sealed areas.
ADC & ERO Dimapur informs: ADC & electoral registration officer Dimapur V. Lovitoly Sema has informed all the booth level officers (BLOs) of Dimapur district to collect the revision materials from election branch, office of the deputy commissioner & district election office, Dimapur during office hours on November 12 and 13.
NNC meeting postponed: Naga National Council (NNC) has informed all regional presidents, all central executive council (CEC) and federal leaders of NNC, that the CEC meeting scheduled to be held on November 16, at TPC, has been indefinitely postponed due to unfavourable situation and inconveniences of the concerned authorities.
Gorkha NGOs of Kohima appeals: Gorkha NGOs of Kohima held a joint meeting on November 10, in connection with Bhailo/Deusi (Carol) has resolved to appeal the members of Gorkha community of Kohima district not to organise Bhailo/Deusi (Carol) during Diwali (Tihar) in view of COVID 19 pandemic. Gorkha NGOs have requested everyone to stay safe and wished everyone a Happy Diwali (Tihar).
