The medical department with the assistance of DTF has been carrying out random sample testing in the district, in order to check the prevalence of COVID-19 positive cases. The random sample testing exercise entered day three on Wednesday. Out of 158 random samples collected around Dimapur and Chümoukedima area, 17 samples were tested positive.
According to the random testing report, a total of 71 samples were collected from Padumpukhuri, Purana Bazar and Toluvi under Chümoukedima area where 15 samples were tested positive.
Meanwhile, in town area, 87 samples were collected from NST colony, bank colony and railway/Netaji colony where two samples were tested positive.
