Along with the rest of the country, College of Arts & Technology (CAT) and Ministers’ Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School (MHBHSS) Kohima celebrated the “National Education Day” Thursday.
It may be noted that National Education Day is observed every year on 11 November to celebrate the birth anniversary of India’s first education minister Abul Kalam Ghulam Muhiyuddin.
Fondly known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India played a significant role in shaping the education system of the country.
CAT: Department of economics & education, College of Arts & Technology (CAT) Nerhe-Phezha conducted a workshop at Government Primary School (GPS) Nerhe-Phezha on account of “National Education Day”.
In a press release, CAT informed that based on the theme, “teach make create”, activities such as paper crafting, pencil sketching, singing and the art of storytelling were imparted to the students.
The activities were undertaken by the 5th semester students of the college.
MHBHSS: Ministers’ Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School (MHBHSS) Kohima organised science exhibition competition for various classes to mark “World Science Day” and “National Education Day”.
In a press release, MHBHSS informed that the principal spoke on the history of National Education Day. He also stated that the main objective of organising science exhibition was to promote interest in science and technology among younger generation and to develop a scientific spirit, curiosity and creativity.
SCC Tuensang: Sao Chang College, Tuensang, department of education observed the National Education Day 2021 on the theme “education for all” by organising a poster competition.
SCC media cell informed that during the the poster competition. Amongla K Tikhir of BA-III semester secured the first position and Bendangwati of BA-V semester and Thungpang Chang of BA-V semester secured the second and third positions.
