
Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner on November 10 under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman, DPDB Phek, Razouvolie Dozo.
According to a DIPR report, DC asked the HoDs to urge their respective staff to get vaccinated. Phek district being declared as ginger and cardamom zone, he called upon the members to disseminate to the people for more production.
Upgrading of S. Pethury Montessori School, Meluri and registration of Phoyisha Cultural Organisation, Phor was approved. Creation of postal branch at Phor village was also approved during the meeting and was sent to the higher authority for further action.
The house discussed on conducting a pre-Christmas celebration and decided to conduct it between 13 and 18 December.
Meanwhile ADC & administrator, Phek Town Council, Phuleshe asked the members to inform the public to pay their sanitation fees on time and to maintain dustbins to keep the surrounding clean.
CMO Phek, Khriezotuo Paphino informed that about 600 COVID cases were detected and death rate was 2.98%. He urged the members to put up vaccination poster on entry at their respective offices.
The departments of agriculture, tourism and economics & statistic were requested to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting. Winners of district level essay competition were also felicitated during the meeting.
