Student unions hold general conference, session

Kacharigaon Phevima Students’ Union (KPSU) held its 12th general conference on January 14 under the theme, “leveraging diversity and cultural awareness”.
A press release by KPSY informed that special guest of the event, Kerenjungla Longkumer, a business woman, deliberated on the need to promote peace, to accept diversity and live in peace with everyone.
The programme was chaired by KPSU advisor, Er. Pelevito Kiso; presidential address was delivered by KPSU president, Keneilenu Kulnu and Kacharigaon Phevima Village Council, chairman, Vitho Zao exhorted the students. Student members of KPSU were felicitated for their achievements. KPSU also elected new office bearers for the tenure 2023-2023 with Vibozo Tetso as its president elect. The programme culminated with a vote of thank by the vice-president, Süsel Kera and benediction by Kacharigaon Phevima Women Organisation, president, Kezhale-ü Vüprü.
SRSU: Satakha Range Students Union (SRSU) held its 36th session on January 13 with Zheito Chophy as the guest of honour.
In his speech, Chophy said students were asset of the society and encouraged the student community to lead the society forward and make a brighter Satakha for the present and future generation.
He also underscored the importance of education and urged the students to work hard and strive for a better tomorrow.
The programme chaired by SRSU organising secretary, Mughaka Zhimo began with an invocation by Hinoka H Zhimo of Hoishe Baptist Church (Nito Mount) and concluded with vote of thanks by SRSU finance secretary, Awoto Awomi.
